COVID 19 FAQ

We understand that many in the current climate may have some questions relating to the latest developments of the COVID 19 pandemic and how these affect the 12th Biennial Childhood Leukemia and Lymphoma Symposium (CLLS 2020). Please review our FAQs below which will continue to be updated as we receive any additional questions:

Is the CLLS 2020 still going ahead as planned? 

No, the meeting was postponed to a new dates -  24 - 25 April 2021

Why was the CLLS 2020 postponed? 

The CLLS 2020 was postponed directly due to the risks associated with the COVID 19 pandemic. The safety of all of our participants will always be the first priority of the Organizing Committee. This is not an easy decision and was made following regular updates and information received from the World Health Organisation, Local Health Ministries and Government advisory authorities, along with feedback from members of our community.

I have an existing the CLLS 2020 registration do I need to do anything for the new CLLS 2021 dates? 

All existing registrations for CLLS 2020 remain valid for the new dates. No action or update to your registration is required.

What happens if i have an existing registration and can’t attend the new dates?

All efforts are being made to make the new the CLLS 2020  dates a success. In the event you can’t attend the new dates cancellations are only available for those received in writing to registration@clls2021.org by 31 May 2020. No refunds will apply after this time outside of eth normal event cancelation terms and conditions. Please also note an administration fee of 25 EUR applies to all registration cancellations and kindly note that the process for refunds may take up to 60 days depending on the current situation.

I had cancelled my registration for the original dates but can now attend the new the CLLS 2020 dates. Can I reinstate my old registration? 

Registration to the CLLS 2021 symposium will be open in May.  Please check the website for updates. 

Can I transfer my registration to someone else? If so how should this be done? 

The CLLS 2020  is accepting a registration name transfer for a fee of 20 EUR.

I have submitted an abstract – what will happen next?

All the submitted abstracts will be unlocked for possible revision by their authors by new abstract submission deadline (December 2020).

Will participants who have purchased flights or a hotel, receive a refund for these services?

We strongly advise all participants with flight or hotel reservations to contact either their travel agent or the indiviudal organisations directly to review options. The situation relating to COVID 19 is changing all the time but in certain situations refunds or credit can apply. The organizers of the CLLS 2020  cannot be held liable by participants for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation and accommodation costs, financial losses, or any other miscellaneous expenses.  

How can I best update my hotel, social event booked for previous the CLLS 2020 dates? 

The following the social events will be automatically updated to the new dates:

  • CLLS dinner – 24 April 2021

Hotel Reservation should be updated in the following way:

  • Hotel bookings must be cancelled directly with the hotel in person. Please contact relevant hotels directly with your request.
